Territorial food systems for greater food autonomy, resilience and sustainability

Territorial food systems are emerging as an approach to regionalize food systems while also prioritizing collaborative governance. They are embedded in regional/ local/supra local contexts and involve a diversity of food systems actors and civil society. A key goal of territorial food systems is to improve local food autonomy while also promoting healthy and sustainable food production. In this webinar, we will discuss a social movement promoting territorial food systems that has emerged in Quebec, exploring the benefits and challenges of taking a territorial food systems approach, and highlighting some examples of how this model is being successfully implemented.  Specifically, experts from the Common Ground Network Canada and community partners will discuss the territorial food systems movement and approach in Quebec as well as how this approach can support greater food autonomy, resilience and sustainability.
